Auyama or pumpkin is commonly used in the Dominican Republic. You can eat it both
in creams or purees, or as a secondary ingredient in other dishes. Auyama is used
to give color and to thicken beans, soups, salcochos, stews, asopaos and other
dishes based on broth.
