Salsa Inglesa, also known as Worcestershire, is a fermented liquid seasoning that is used as a dressing. Legend has it that this sauce, which is ideal for marinating steak, beef and pork ribs, it was made accidentally, after fermenting for months in a forgotten barrel in a storage. Its ingredients and the exact amount of these are said to be considered a mystery; but it contains, among others, malt vinegar, molasses, sugar, garlic, tamarind sauce, cloves, and other spices.
